I am driving through a #pine #forest and I suddenly see a wild rock. Only this rock is weird. It looks like it has square pieces and holes. I am curious and I was right. The square pieces are little homes and the holes are their #windows. It is the small village of Anavatos standing on a hard rock on this magnificent island.
Anavatos is a medieval settlement built during the middle byzantine years, on #Chios Island, Greece. It lies on a rock, at about 450 meters altitude, and between two gorges. Today it has only one resident while in the old days, residents reached 150 in number.
